What are you reading this weekend?

Just got a delivery of Tomie Balogun's bestselling book #InvestmentClubs; How To Create Wealth Beyond Your Pay-cheque By Investing With Others; and Sebastian Junger’s #Tribe; On Homecoming and Belonging; from Amazon.com

I can see a great weekend ahead.

I’m so excited about Tomie’s book because Pearl and I read the manuscripts before it was published and gave feedback (actually only Pearl did cos I'm a lazy reader. lol). I’m so proud of you, Tomie. Keep keeping it real, my sister and friend!

Mushin To The World Foundation Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Here’s a video capturing our last project in Mushin.

Kudos to the founders, Board, Management and Volunteers for delivering such a world class project.

I’m so proud to be associated with this noble initiative to give back to Mushin.

We did it, guys!

Much more programs are in the pipeline. Let those who disdain Mushin know that we will not rest until we change our stories, ourselves.

We’re the CHANGE that we SEEK; we’re the ONES we’ve been WAITING for!

MushinToTheWorld; giving life a meaning! 😊

#FaithInAction

Dear friends, do you think you’ll get ANYWHERE in this if you learn all the right WORDS but never DO anything? Does merely TALKING about FAITH indicate that a person really HAS it?

For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say,

“Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!”

and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you?

Isn’t it obvious that GOD-TALK without GOD-ACTS is OUTRAGEOUS NONSENSE?

Of Mentors & Role Models II: Sam Adeyemi

During service today, Sam Adeyemi took the first few minutes to “correct” an inaccurate info about his MESSAGE last week where he shared a data about research on how high Eagles 🦅 fly.

In that message, he had said that the Eagle 🦅 was the only bird that can fly above 27,000 feet. In reality, there are 10 other birds that can attain such heights. In fact, the Eagle isn’t the bird with the highest flight record.

So an anonymous ‘church member’ sent him a mail and pointed him to the accurate research data with links. He quickly checked the link via Google and realized the church member was right and he was wrong. He sent him a message thanking him for the correction and decided to publicly apologize the next Sunday, today, thus setting the records straight.

This experience humbled me and brought me to TEARS 😭. I cried simply because Rev. Sam has done what many pastors may NEVER do. Instead of owning their mistake and moving forward, some Pastors would rather invoke the scriptures to justify their erroneous act.

In Christiandom, we have elevated pastors and ministers to a level even above God; the author and finisher of our faith. Most of them have become a #PRINCIPALITY to their members such that they can no longer to #CORRECTED or set #RIGHT.

According to Praise Fowowe, a Family and Leadership development expert:
“. . . There is something that stands this man out and its his being so real and authentic. He listens and never continues with an error.

He is a leader with a difference and I am glad we have a man who can walk up to the stage and correct an information after running an online check. We need more Sam Adeyemis”

Leadership is self awareness. A leader who isn’t self-aware can never be secured. An insecure leader is a time bomb going somewhere to explode.

Dear #MenOfGod, it won’t hurt to accept you’re wrong, especially when corrected in love. Actually, it shows your level of maturity and self awareness. Owning ones mistakes is a prerequisite to #effective leadership. Knowledge is progressive so a true leader is not afraid to be wrong.

Thank you Rev. Sam for this rare public display of deep HUMILITY, for always DARING to be DIFFERENT and for following the #HolySprit and your CONVICTIONS. You’re a leader who is #SECURED and not afraid to admit when you’re wrong. Thank you for always setting the BAR very HIGH. You’re indeed a ROLE MODEL and a LEADER who WALKS the TALK.

May God continue to bless Daystar Christian Centre

PS: This is not a sub, please. I am only appreciating a #ManOfGod I have great admiration for.
